Great Falls Elementary partners with Glen Forest Elementary in a sister school program. Our sister school program is an important community outreach endeavor focused on helping students and families in need from Glen Forest Elementary, a culturally diverse school in Falls Church with a population of approximately 1,100 children from 47 different countries who speak over 39 different languages. Each year, the GFES PTA Sister School Committee, in partnership with our school counselors and Student Council Association (SCA), organizes 2-3 outreach drives to help support the current needs of the Glen Forest students. Annual Sister School Food Drive
THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to the 2023 Sister School Food Drive! Your generous donations helped make a positive difference for local families. We were able to provide approximately 25 boxes of non-perishable food to local food-insecure families from Glen Forest Elementary. Thank you for your support!
Special thanks to our Community Outreach Coordinator, Julie Hobbs for organizing this event again this year! Also thanks to volunteers Kendra Bradley, Erin Kiblawi, Lauren Vogel, the Kuehl family, as well as Ms. Murphy, Ms. Mizell, Ms. Jones and the SCA students!
WINTER COAT DRIVE
THANK YOU for the generous donations to our 2023 Winter Coat Drive!
The drive was also supported by Mrs. Mizell and the 5th grade SCA students, Ms. Murphy, Ms. Shenouda, Ms. Botha and the student news team. Great job and thank you!
